Principals Report

Dear Families
This week we celebrate our 60th Anniversary and the many events have been a wonderful reminder of our history and those who shaped our wonderful school community. We remember the amazing story of Catholic Education in Claremont and how it began at Holy Rosary and the extraordinary work of our priests, the nuns, the women and men who staffed our school and the students who have attended Holy Rosary in the last 60 years. They had faith in the future, and that was and is their gift to us today: faith in the future.
The planning and preparation that has gone into our celebrations has been extensive. I would personally like to thank those who have joined us for the events and acknowledge the work of our Anniversary Committee, Lauren McCallum, Libby Piesse, Sharon Goldsworthy, Catherine Midson and Adam Quarrell. We were thrilled to be joined by so many past and original students and staff. Our liturgy organised by Libby Piesse was a true celebration and the choir led by Claire Williams and Adrienne Reeve sang beautifully. The incredible artwork by Adam Quarrall will be an enduring reminder of our history and the legacy of Catholic Education in Claremont.
The historical display organised and coordinated by Lauren McCallum has provided our students with the opportunity to gain a deeper awareness of our heritage. Our wonderful caterers Alison Lange and Kylie McIntrye ensured that we had a lovely morning tea on Thursday and family Barbeque on Friday. Thank you to our amazing staff for the preparation in classrooms, our Office staff for their support and administration, our Utility Officers and cleaning staff for ensuring our grounds and spaces looked fantastic.
Thank you to Tam Pels for her organisation of the Family celebration Barbeque and raffle, all those who donated prizes for the raffle and Tez Nominkis for the fantastic entertainment.
What a community we have and how grateful I am for our students, staff, families and all who offer their support to us constantly.

Kind Regards
Bernadette Brooks
