This term in Grade 6 we have been busy exploring Science, Poetry and Economics. 

Science

We have been exploring the power of light and electricity. We have been talking about ways light helps us and how we use it. We have also been drawing diagrams of light globes and then comparing them to real light bulbs. We have been experimenting how to create circuits using wires and bulbs. We tried many different ways to light them up until we found the right solution.

Poetry

We have been learning about how poetry can be used in many ways to show emotion and experiences. You can write poems about sad things, happy things and lots more. We have also been learning about patterning in poems called rhyme scheme. You can have fixed and free verse poems too. 

Economics

In Economics we have been looking at Financial Literacy and have been designing a product to sell on a Grade 6 market day. We have been coming up with many ideas and designs. We have been planning how we want to present our ideas and have been searching up the cost of our products and making budgets. We also found how much we want to sell them for to make a profit and make advertisements.
