Remembrance Day

On Remembrance Day, as a school we gathered and reflected upon those people whose lives have been changed by war and conflict.  True happiness comes when we are at peace with ourselves and others.  Remembrance Day in Australia is an occasion to commemorate and remember all Australians who have died as a result of war. Remembrance Day falls on the 11th of November each year. 

Dear Lord,

You sent us your only Son to teach us how to live peacefully and lovingly.

Help us to express a love for all humanity as Jesus showed us.

May we use the life of Jesus to remind us to

Turn our hearts towards peace,

Rejoice in our commonalities and embrace our differences.

Guide our steps so we may live as instruments of peace.

Amen.
