2020 Catholic Education Commission Awards
Congratulations to Paul and Michelle Crennan who were awarded the ‘Outstanding Contribution as a Friend in Catholic Schools’ award at the Catholic Education Commission Awards for 2020. Below is an excert of the citation read at the awards.
Paul and Michelle Crennan's commitment and involvement as parents with Catholic education started at Holy Rosary Catholic School over 12 years ago and has continued into St Virgil's College and Mount Carmel College. Paul and Michelle have and continue to be active parents at Holy Rosary Catholic School and have been involved in supporting the school through a variety of ways. Paul, a teacher in Catholic Education at Sacred Heart College, was the Chair of our School Board for six years and through this time supported the school through School Registration, Validation, building development works, minor grants works and led the Board in formulating the community contribution for our school Response to the Archbishop's Charter. Michelle has supported Paul in this role and has worked tirelessly for the school on the Parent Circle Fundraising group. She has managed school sporting teams and initiated and organized a variety of school functions.
Michelle and Paul's involvement with Holy Rosary Catholic School has been invaluable for the staff and students. They have an understanding of and commitment to the nature and purpose of Catholic Education. Michelle and Paul have always looked for ways to make the students' school experience more enriching and improve our school community.
