Special Blessing for Fathers

On Wednesday our Grade Twos and Grade Fours celebrated a Father’s Day Mass with Fr Suresh in our St Bernard’s Church. We sang, gave thanks and celebrated the special roles our Fathers, Grandfathers and Uncles play in our lives at Holy Rosary.

For new dads, who are amazed by their little ones who have changed their lives in so many glorious ways.

For all our Fathers in our community. May they continue to love and nurture their children and cherish the precious gift of fathering.  May they offer friendship, support and encouragement to each other.

For Fathers who have to be away from home, that their families would be comforted by the sacrifices that their fathers make.

For those who fulfil the role of a father. That they too would experience our thanks.

For all our dads, grandfathers and uncles who have died. We give thanks for their love, their laughter and their labour. We give thanks for the way they shaped our values, our faith and our family traditions and rituals. May they rest in peace.

We pray for Father Suresh, Archbishop Julian and the Pope.  That they will look after us as our Church Fathers.
