Principals Report

Dear Parents
Last week was Teacher Aide Appreciation Week and we took the opportunity to say thank you to all our support staff in classrooms, the office and maintenance & grounds. On Thursday the school hosted a morning tea to celebrate our Teacher Aides and non-teaching staff and all they contribute to Holy Rosary Catholic School. These staff encourage our students with patience and care and for that we are grateful. When you have the right people in a school, the students get the best modelling of the young adults we are aspiring them to be. We need to have an attitude of gratitude for our staff and all that they do, and many of us do not even realise they do above and beyond their core work.

As we continue to navigate the COVID-19 restrictions I would like to thank parents for their understanding, our students have missed so many activities and we are looking forward to Term 4 to begin some of our more usual activities such as Learn to Swim, Gymnastics and more excursions. Unfortunately we continue to be hampered by our ability to accommodate parents at events such as Assemblies and Book Parades. Due to the number of students and staff we do not have the capacity to invite parents and adhere to the COVID-19 social distancing requirements for adults. We will endeavour to continue to take many photos, provide Zoom links for assemblies and live stream where possible.

Kind Regards
Bernadette Brooks
