Dear Parents/Guardians

The return to full-time, face-to-face learning in schools on Monday 25th May  is an exciting time for students and teachers and may be a blessed relief for many parents and carers. It may  also be a time of immense stress, many of our students have not been on our school site for over 10 weeks, longer than any holiday break. For some, this transition will be filled with as much anxiety as the first day of school or the school year. Being prepared and catering for our students potential needs and wellbeing should be one of our highest priorities. Our focus will be on reconnecting, relationships, and routines. 

As Principal of HRCS I continue to work with our  staff community for the integration of COVID-19 restrictions within previously established routines and learning structures to ensure as ‘normal’ a school experience as possible for students. Clear communication and planning are ways to reduce anxiety around the transition process for everyone and all communication sent home has been with this in mind. All parents are asked to ensure they have read the following communication Letter to parents 13th May 2020 that was sent through Compass last week. I do apologise for the lengths of some communications but there is often a significant amount of information that we are asked to communicate to parents.

We very much look forward to welcoming back all our students on Monday 25th May. Parents are asked to ensure that all students are in the correct uniform each day as this will certainly assist with settling back into our routines.
