In 2017 we made a decision as a school to commence our own Birth to 5 Program and in making this decision there was one staff member who I felt could commence, develop and grow this program in a way that would make a significant difference to our community. That person was Mrs Libby Piesse. Libby took what was an idea and developed a program that has catered for over 70 families and  provided an outstanding experience of welcoming, learning and play experiences for the young members of our community. Our Village Birth to 5 program was one of the first in Catholic Education Tasmania to receive and come under the banner of Set Up for Success. On Tuesday evening, we had the opportunity to recognise Libby’s dedication to our Birth to 5 program and the work she has done in this space. In 2020 Libby will working in other grade levels in the school and Mrs Jessica George will be our Birth to 5 teacher and coordinator. 

Libby’s contribution and passion has established an exceptional program for our very youngest community members.
