HRCS Athletics Carnival

As the sparrows rose and the worms began to squirm the HRCS HPE Dept was setting the stage for the 58th annual HRCS Athletics Carnival. The three houses draped in their tribal colours entered the hallowed arena ready to compete and shine on the biggest stage of all. The crowds began to amass as the grades were distributed to their specific events. The grade 3s in their very first senior Athletics Carnival were tremendous! Jake Beams and Campbell Barwick beginning what will be one of the great track and field rivalries. The grade 6s in their final Athletics Carnival were brilliant. Their positive support of the other grades during the day and their resounding vocal support of their houses has really set the bar high for our future grade 6s! Once all the races had been run, the vortexes thrown and the long jumps completed the Wolf Pack of Doyle reigned supreme! The Crimson tide had returned! That leaves the House Cup wide open with each house claiming a major carnival this year. There is only 22 points between first placed Young and third placed D'Arcy. So it comes down to each students' efforts in the classroom, what a way to finish the year! I would like to personally thank mother nature who held out until 2:45 and in particular Mr. Zevgeld. Mr. Simonitis, Mr. Jones and Miss Wise for helping so very well with the setup of the carnival! Without you it simply wouldn't happen!
The inter-primary will be held on the 8th of November, all details will be distributed shortly.
