This year marks the 60th anniversary of the arrival of the Dominican Sisters in Hobart, bringing Catholic Education to the Northern Suburbs. The Sisters founded St John’s Primary School and Holy Name Convent in Glenorchy, as well as Holy Rosary Catholic School in Claremont. In later years the Sisters co-founded Dominic College and Guilford Young College. Their contribution, impact and benefit to Catholic Education have been enormous. Our School Captains Jesse and Bree and Vice-Captain Lara and Mrs Libby Piesse represented us at the Mass on Sunday to celebrate this significant anniversary.
