All Schools Cross Country
Through fog, sleet, black ice and the thought of heading north towards Launceston, the aerobic elite of HRCS ventured to Symmons Plains raceway to challenge the best of the best in the 2019 All Schools Cross Country championships. In what was a tremendous day for our school, a total of 18 runners competed with every runner finishing within the top 150, a huge effort! A special mention needs to go our 9yrs boys lead by Jake Beams whose masterclass reminded me a of young Steve Prefontaine leading from start to finish with a big smile on his face! A magnificent effort, and one that everyone in attendance will remember for a long time! Well done Jake!! In his last Cross Country run for HRCS Jake 'Mr.consistent' Cox again finished inside the top 50, a great effort also. All of our students (as per usual) represented our wonderful school exceptionally well and are to be congratulated for their efforts! I would like to personally thank Mr. Zegveld and Miss Wise for their wonderful support on the day and a big thanks to the parents who took on the midland highway fog and attended aswell!
