Dear Families,

Welcome back to Term 4!
It’s wonderful to see our students return with such energy and enthusiasm for the final term of the year. There’s a real sense of excitement in the air as we head into these last busy, joy-filled weeks of learning and celebration.

Grade 3-6 Athletics Carnival
Last Friday’s Grade 3–6 Athletics Carnival was a fantastic day of participation, teamwork and school spirit – even with the wet and windy weather! Our students gave their very best in every event, cheering each other on with enthusiasm and pride. A huge thank you to Mr Ben Johnson, Kayedel Smith and all the staff who helped make the day such a success. Your efforts ensured everything ran smoothly and that our students had a positive and memorable experience.

Canberra Trip Information Evening
It was wonderful to meet with parents and students preparing for the upcoming Canberra Trip in just a couple of weeks. There’s a real sense of excitement among our Grade 6 students as they look forward to this exciting opportunity for learning and adventure.

Welcoming our 2026 Kindergarten Families
At the other end of the schooling journey, we were delighted to welcome the parents of our 2026 Kindergarten students to their Parent Information Evening this week. It was lovely to see so many new faces and to share in their excitement as they began their connection with our school community.

Holy Rosary Celebration Day
On Wednesday, we came together for one of the most special days on our school calendar — our Holy Rosary Celebration Day. It’s a time to gather in prayer, reflect on our school’s values, and give thanks for the wonderful community we share.  In the afternoon, our students enjoyed a fabulous sausage sizzle and buddy activities, rounding off the day with fun and friendship.

Outdoor Lockdown Drill
Next week, we will be holding our first outdoor lockdown practice. This drill is an important part of our school’s emergency management procedures and helps ensure that all students and staff know what to do if a lockdown is ever required while outside. Teachers will go through the steps with their classes beforehand so students understand what to expect and can participate calmly and confidently.

Kind regards,

Susan McGann
