HRCS @ Hobart Cup
Hobart Cup 2025 – HRCS Wrap-Up
Recently, Holy Rosary Catholic School proudly took part in the Hobart Cup, entering three teams into the competition. It was a fantastic showcase of our students’ talent, spirit, and determination. We couldn’t be prouder of how HRCS was represented both on and off the field.
Under 5s (Coach: Emma Kearney)
For the first time, HRCS entered an U5 team into the Hobart Cup — and what a wonderful decision it was! They found themselves up against older opponents, but our youngest players never backed down. They fought hard in every single game, showing determination, sportsmanship, and a fantastic attitude. Their effort and team spirit were something special. Truly a great bunch of kids who made HRCS proud.
Under 7s – (Coach: Bec Potts)
Our U7 team had a brilliant weekend, going up against strong club sides and giving it their all in every match. With a balanced group of four boys and four girls, they stood out in a competition where most teams had very few, if any, girls on the pitch. The players supported one another, worked together beautifully, and kept smiling right through to the end. They grew in confidence and improved with each game — and we are so proud of their efforts.
Under 8s – (Coach: Simon Turk)
Our U7 team took on the challenge of playing in the U8 age group! Over the course of five games, they secured some strong results and continued to improve as the tournament went on. Their effort, sportsmanship, and great attitudes stood out in every match. The way this team rose to the challenge of older opposition with smiles on their faces is something we can all be proud of.
A heartfelt thank you to all our players, coaches, parents, and supporters. The Hobart Cup was a brilliant way to round out the season, and we are already looking forward to seeing what our teams will achieve next year.
