Principal's Report

Dear Families,

Our Grade 4 students had a fantastic time at camp, spending two nights at Spring Beach, Orford. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to learn new skills, work together, and enjoy the great outdoors. We are so proud of the way the students embraced the experience with enthusiasm and resilience. A big thank you to the staff who attended and supported the camp!

What an amazing celebration of creativity and talent we witnessed at our culminating Dance Production! Our Grade 3 to Grade 6 contributed with energy and talent, and our soloists (from Kinder - Grade 6) were simply outstanding. The performances reflected weeks of preparation and dedication. Special thanks to Hailey Peters, our choreographer, and Ben Johnson, our PE teacher, for their organisation, creativity and willingness to support this event. The event raised over $255 for the Cancer Council of Tasmania.

Our Grade 5 and 6 students wrapped up their Friday Sport program last week, with the last rostered games of netball and football. These afternoons have been a great opportunity for students to build teamwork, develop skills, and enjoy healthy competition. Well done to everyone involved!

On Wednesday, we had the joy of welcoming grandparents and special people into our school community. It was wonderful to gather in prayer, enjoy beautiful musical performances, share classroom visits, and connect over a morning tea. Events like these remind us of the importance of community, and we are so grateful for the love and support that our grandparents and special people give to our students and families.

During Wednesday afternoon, we gathered for our Music Assembly, and what a wonderful celebration it was! Our students shone on stage, showcasing their musical talents through singing and solo performances. It was a joy to see their confidence and creativity on display. A big thank you to Mrs Clare Williams for her direction and guidance, and to our families for coming along to support our young performers.

Wishing all our families a lovely holiday break. Students finish this Friday afternoon and return on Tuesday, 14th October.

Kind regards,

Susan McGann
