Dear Families,

This week we joined schools from across the state to celebrate Catholic Education Week. Our Grade 6 Leaders represented our school beautifully at the Mass at the Cathedral. Their respectful participation and enthusiasm were a credit to themselves, their families, and our school community.

We are proud to celebrate Damian Riza’s incredible milestone – 25 years of dedicated service to Catholic education as our Utility Supervisor. Damian’s commitment, reliability, and warm presence have been such a blessing to our school. On behalf of our whole community, we thank Damian for all he has done (and continues to do) for us.

On Tuesday, our School Captains and I had the privilege of attending the Installation Mass for the new Archbishop. It was a truly special occasion, filled with tradition, prayer, and hope for the future of our Church in Tasmania. Our captains represented our school with pride and maturity. It was lovely to gain some insight into our new Archbishop, and we were impressed by his gentle humility and sense of humour.

Our annual Book Fair is being held this week in the Student Hub. Thank you to everyone who has supported it so far with setting up and volunteering to assist with sales. Next week, we will celebrate Book Week! Our much-loved Book Week Parade for all students from Ludo to Grade 6, will be held on Wednesday morning at approximately 9:00 am on the oval outside the Prep rooms. We can’t wait to see the creativity on display as students dress as their favourite book characters.
