Project Compassion 2025
Last week our school leaders, Abbie Perry, Daniel Bray and Maya Hills, represented Holy Rosary Catholic School at the Launch of Project Compassion. Our southern launch was held at Corpus Christi Church and was attended by over 110 students from 15 schools.
Project Compassion brings together thousands of Australian schools, parishes and supporters to raise funds for people living in some of the most vulnerable communities across the world. They work to end poverty and promote justice in countries throughout Africa, Asia, Australia and the Pacific.
The theme of Project Compassion in 2025 is Unite Against Poverty, with Caritas Australia highlighting the stories of three vulnerable people who have been helped to lift themselves out of poverty with the help of funds raised by Caritas supporters. The three people have overcome challenges in their own lives and gone on to become beacons of hope and resilience in their communities.
During the season of Lent, thousands of Australians come together to help end poverty and to help support vulnerable communities around the world. To help those in need, Holy Rosary will be supporting Caritas through Project Compassion. We encourage you to put your compassion into action this Lent through your prayer, fasting and almsgiving and donate by using Project Compassion donation boxes. It is a time when we are called to examine our lives and make sacrifices to help those less fortunate.
