Principal's Report
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We were blessed with a wonderful afternoon on Wednesday to celebrate our Welcome BBQ! Thank you to our families who came along to share in the evening. We could not run events like this without the support of our staff who set up, cooked, cleaned and served - thank you so much!
On Wednesday we also had our school photos - it was great to see all our students in their correct uniform, looking clean and tidy! Thank you for your patience during the family photo lineup - we will put some adjustments in place next year to alleviate some of the delays.
Today, we had our Commencement Liturgy, where we commissioned our new student leaders. We are thrilled to formally acknowledge them and all our Grade 6 students who will be leading our school this year. A very exciting time for them!
Next Monday and Wednesday, we have scheduled our first Parent - Teacher Conversations for this year for Prep to Grade 6 families. We hope parents avail themselves of the opportunity to discuss how their child has settled into the year.
In the last newsletter, we included links to two of our important policies - the Uniform Policy and Hair and Jewellery. Each newsletter will include links to a policy or policies that assist in the governance of our school, either school policies or those provided by Catholic Education Tasmania (CET). In this newsletter, we include the ‘Adult Behaviour Policy’ - this sets out clearly the expectations regarding all adult visitors to CET workplaces, including schools. We also include the ‘Volunteers in Catholic Education Policy.’
Kind regards
Susan McGann
