Principal's Report

It was a joy last week to celebrate Catholic Education Week with all the other Catholic schools around Tasmania. We gathered on Wednesday afternoon as a school community to acknowledge and celebrate all these wonderful things about our school, to listen and understand a little better the journey our forebears had in creating faith-based schools in Tasmania. It is a privilege to be part of such a wonderful community - not only at our school but the wider catholic school community. This was highlighted when we were able to take some students to the Cathedral on Thursday morning to join representatives from all the southern catholic schools in a celebration of Mass.

Lisa Ford, a clinical psychologist met with parents last night to discuss the topic of Anxiety. We had a great turnout to listen to Lisa present her knowledge and helpful strategies. We received lots of positive feedback about the evening. We are happy to look into further parent sessions with Lisa as she has a range of worthwhile topics that are helpful to our families.
As the school soccer season is nearing its end, I would like to extend my thanks to Layla Cockerell and Simone Bearham for their amazing efforts to coordinate the season and to all our coaches who have volunteered to coach a team this season.
Kind regards
Susan McGann
