Dear Parents & Guardians,

Welcome back to Term Four! I trust you all had a great holiday break and with the additional days last week due to the Show the students seem well rested and ready for the busyness of the term ahead.

Love is in the air! ❤️Our warmest congratulations to Donna French & John Rickwood who were married during the recent break and to Tom Choraziak & his partner Amy who jetted off to Italy and tied the knot also.

As the weather slowly warms up and some days are brilliant sunshine (and others not so much) we remind you that all students must wear a hat when outside for play times or lessons. Please ensure all hats are clearly named.

As mentioned last term, if there are families who will not be continuing at Holy Rosary next year it is stated in the Enrolment Policy that notice of ten weeks in writing to the Principal must be given.

We welcomed many Grandparents and special friends to our morning yesterday. It was a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge all of these amazing people who love unconditionally and provide our students with much guidance and support. They were not deterred by the rain and windy weather!

Please keep our Confirmation candidates in your prayers over the coming week as they undergo preparation for their final Sacrament of Initiation, they have already been baptised and received their First Eucharist at the end of last term. Archbishop Julian Porteous will be visiting the Parish to confirm these young people on Sunday 13th November at 9:00 am in St Bernard’s Church. Everyone is welcome to attend the Mass.

Our Grade 3-6 Athletics Carnival is scheduled for tomorrow, given the continued inclement weather we have made the decision to postpone this until next Tuesday, 1st November. Fingers crossed the ground dries out and the rain stops!

We extended a very warm welcome to all the Grandparents and special people in our lives, as they joined us here at Holy Rosary Catholic School. 

For some it was their very first visit to the school, for others it is a daily visit, to collect their grandchild.  We also remembered the grandparents and those who couldn't be with us, those who could not travel, those who live far away, those who are sick, and those who are with God in heaven.  They are all in our thoughts wherever they are.

During our Grandparents and Special Person's Liturgy we included the following verse, please share this with your families.

A Special Kind of Love 

There’s a special kind of love that grandchildren have for their grandparents.

It’s filled with respect for their wisdom and accomplishments,

With gratitude for the values they’ve given us…,

With delight in the stories of our family that they remember and share. 

It’s a special kind of love that’s built on a lifetime of caring and giving.

It’s the kind of love that’s felt for you my dear grandparent, today and always. 

Grandparents bestow upon their grandchildren  

the strength and wisdom that time and experience have given them. 

Grandchildren bless their grandparents  

with a youthful vitality and innocence that help them stay young at heart forever.

Together they create a chain of love linking the past with the future. 

The chain may lengthen, but it will never part…

So many happy faces, a delight to see

Sports shoes are worn with the Sports uniform and should be preferably white and/or plain.

Black formal school shoes are to be worn with the formal uniform, no skate or white soled black shoes should be worn.
