Dear Parents & Guardians,
Welcome back to Term Two! I hope you all had a wonderful break with time to relax and spend time as a family. Hopefully, all our students are refreshed and ready for a busy term of learning. Following the beautiful celebrations of Easter, we now enter the Easter Season of the Church calendar. Easter is a great reminder Christ died and rose once and for all and for each one of us. His death and resurrection can transform our lives as we endeavour to live lives that know the freedon of goodness - lives that have a love for our neighbour, lives that respect all creation, and lives that restore hope and mercy.
During the last term, our Advisory Board met and conducted their AGM. Following the election of executive members and some new Board members, the Executive Director of Catholic Education has now approved all of these positions and members. I am pleased to advise our school community of the outcome of this process:-
Chair: David Bray
Deputy Chair: Karen Clarkson
Finance: TBA
Secretary: Sue Reardon
Ordinary members: Carey Higgins, and newly appointed members - Renee MacGregor, Mary Friend and Tamara Pels.
We are appreciative of these parents volunteering their time and wisdom to engage with and support the development of the school and its community. I look forward to working together with our Board during the coming months. Thank you to retiring Board members - Peter Montalvan (moved interstate), Michelle Brown and Adam Quarrell for their tireless efforts over a number of years on the Advisory Board.
Choices, Choices, Choices...........for my mum
I hope all our mums, grandmothers, nans, aunts, step-mums, and caregivers had a special day on Sunday. Thank you to our wonderful volunteer parents who ran the annual Mother's Day stall last week and provided an opportunity for the students to purchase thoughtful gifts to give on Sunday.
Our wonderful parent helpers
Congratulations to two staff members who have continued their own lifelong learning and graduating with further academic qualifications -
Mrs Gemma Bennett - Masters in Education
Mrs Sarah Dance - Certificate in Special Needs Education
A reminder that animals are not allowed onsite without the prior approval of the Principal and a completed Risk Assessment, as we have students with allergies.
