Grade 6 has had an awesome start to the year! They are settling into the new routines well as the new leaders of our wonderful school.
We have been extremely busy! Among the MJR team building and reflective activities, we have done both in class and with Marty Ogle, we have been busy setting up artistic displays around our classroom. This includes autobiographical art pieces, origami displays, and about me 3D artworks.
We have also had fun with a STEM design project with marshmallows and toothpicks which put our teamwork to the test in Week 2!
We also had the fortune of meeting our new Grade 2 buddies for the first time, participating in a buddy sketch, interview and games afternoon before having a nice lunch together.
Our Captains, House Captains and Aussie Sports Leaders have also had their first taste of their respective responsibilities, leading and supporting other classes in various outdoor activities, including assembly.
In Week 3 we commenced our Maths Project and our Literacy rotation exercises are up and running. We look forward to all the growth and goals Grade 6 will achieve in their final year at HRCS!
