Year 3 Camp 2025 - Blue Lagoon Adventures
Grade 3 experienced their first school camp on the 28th August at Blue Lagoon, Dodges Ferry.
We excitedly boarded the bus from Holy Rosary and made our way to Sorell Park for a bite of recess and a run around the playground. We arrived at Blue Lagoon ready and eager to set up our cabins and to start exploring the camp grounds.
The campgrounds were a hit with the students. Many games of Gaa Gaa Ball, Trampolining, swings, the giant slide and footy kept students active and entertained.
A bite to eat with our shared morning tea and even a birthday celebration were a great start to our day.
The indoor games room provided us with Eight Ball, Foosball, Air Hockey and Ping Pong. Many intense competitions were held and the excitement was contagious.
The Rec Hall gave us another space to play many ball sports and games, enjoyed by all.
After reflection and prayer we prepared for a hearty dinner of Spaghetti Bolognaise, Garlic Bread, Custard and Fruit. We then got our pyjamas on ready to watch a movie in the Bay Room before bed. Many of us were drifting off after such a busy and active day. We managed to all get to sleep by a reasonable hour.
After an early rise we had our breakfast, packed our cabins and lunch, then loaded the bus for our final destination, The Boat Park. We had a lovely time climbing, swinging and playing footy. After eating our lunch we boarded the bus back to Holy Rosary.
It was a privilege to take such well behaved students on their first camp experience. There were so many Spirit of Jesus moments amongst everyone and the growth in friendships and confidence whilst away from home was impressive to see.
Well done Grade Three!
