Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we come to the end of another busy and blessed term, we want to take a moment to reflect, celebrate, and share, especially as we enter the most sacred time in the Christian calendar: Holy Week.
Each day of Holy Week invites us to walk with Christ, remembering His sacrifice and celebrating the hope of resurrection. Many of these events have been recreated by our students and shared with our school community during this week.
- Palm Sunday – We remember Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem.
- Holy Thursday – A time to reflect on the Last Supper and Jesus’ call to love and serve one another.
- Good Friday – A solemn day marking Jesus’ crucifixion and His ultimate act of love.
- Easter Sunday – A joyful celebration of Jesus' resurrection and the promise of new life.
We encourage all families to take time during the break to pause, pray, and participate in your local church services.
Thank you to all families for your participation in our Easter Raffle, either through contributing prizes or buying tickets. Huge thanks to Tam Pels for organising all our prizes - 20 of them!
Congratulations to the thirty-eight students who were chosen to represent Holy Rosary at the Catholic Schools' Swimming Carnival on the 28th March. A fabulous effort by the attendees, who all did a great job in their races and tried their best.
We were proud of our students who participated in the recent Grade 5/6 and Grade 3/4 Southern Primary Basketball Championships over the last two weekends. Each of our five teams played four games over the weekend and showed skill, sportsmanship and teamwork. Big thanks to our coaches - Shane, Riley, Sarah, Sienna and Jason for your time, effort and guidance. Thanks to our coordinators, Sarah & Lauren. We appreciated the support from our umpires, bench/scorers and the great cheer squad in the form of our families!
Thank you to all our school community members for your many varied contributions to this term. We hope you have some time to rest, relax and recharge during the coming weeks. We look forward to welcoming all our students back on Monday, 28th April.
Kind regards
Susan McGann
